CHAMBERLAIN
five-year diary 1996-2000 (Engineer Records) I knew this band from Nashville-USA through its famous name as they have influenced many bands around. And bam, I got it in the face…pfiou this band is great and I never heard of them before. This was a lack in my musical education!! On this album we find nothing more 28 songs on two CDs. This “five-year diary” contains songs from the debut release 'Fates Got A Driver' to the last record from the band in it's original form 'The Moon My Saddle'. It offers us the chance to feel the evolution of the band from their emocore / indie rock full of acoustic guitar to the their latter day alternative country rock leanings. This album contains also some live songs of the band recorded in Indiana. I think this double CD album is a good rock document for those who don’t know the band yet. All is packed on a nice cd box, giving informations on the band’s history. I’m glad Engineer Rec sent me this album to review it, cause this double CD, and this band worth getting it. Even if the band is dead now. Really, this one is great! For those would be interested in buying this record, it can be ordered from Heart On Fire (it’s not in the distro list)…and then I can order it directly to the label for you. http://www.engineerrecords.com Chroniqué par julien le 02-09-2004 | ||
