L'ex bassiste/guitariste de Bane et Reach the Sky Brendan ''Stu'' Maguire se bat actuellement contre un cancer. Des T-shirts et jeux de cartes ont été mis en vente ici afin de l'aider à faire face aux frais médicaux.

''September 18, 2019 changed our lives forever. It is the day Brendan was diagnosed with cancer after seeking medical attention for 6 months. We were confused, in shock and are still wondering why. We met over 20 years ago at a local Death Threat / Diecast show in Brockton.
That day a mutual friend who was there exclaimed “I didn't know you two were together”. We weren't. We just met. But the connection was undeniable and we have been together ever since. The local music scene is and was such a huge part of us as individuals and as a couple. I could not have imagined how that show, meeting Brendan would be the start of creating a beautiful life that now includes our two daughters, Nora and Lennon.
When I met Brendan he was playing and touring with Reach the Sky. During that time he acquired the nickname STU. Yes, it's a stupid nickname but it stuck. He went on to work for the Dropkick Murphys and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and then joined Bane.
He toured the world meeting and become friends with so many who still call him Stu. After our second daughter was born Brendan decided to stay home and work at The House of Blues, The Orpheum and the Pavilion for Live Nation. We are lucky that he works with people who are like family to us.
A couple weeks after Brendan's initial diagnosis we found out that his pancreatic cancer spread to his liver. It is rare for a man in his early 40's to get this type of cancer. The doctors at MGH have assured us that they will do everything they can to aggressively treat Brendan.
He is receiving a high dose of chemo therapy bi-weekly while incorporating holistic treatments like acupuncture and reiki from our wonderful friend's practice. We don't know what the future holds for us. But what we do know is that our children are a priority and our driving force to get through this.
Living with cancer is our new reality. It touches all of us. We are so lucky to have a village filled with family and friends who are so thoughtful and supportive. This includes you.
These shirts were first designed when Brendan worked for the Dropkick Murphys. These shirts are now a symbol to show cancer and the world that we are with Stu. To show our children how important the relationships you cultivate in life are. That there are so many caring people surrounding us. We strongly believe in the power of people. That together with you, this journey can be a little easier.
