And just like that… we’re back! Well, kinda. Let us explain.
After a 5-year hiatus, the group of friends behind GROEZROCK and Riorock have decided to start something new. Nooo, please don’t go expecting a 2-day festival with 500 bands over 23 stages. We’ve settled for something fun and definitely not too big.
Well, what is it then?
We call it ''Back To Reality''. And it’s a club show with 6 of the finest bands Belgium has to offer. New talent next to established powerhouses. #emo and #hardcorepunk, #punk and #metalcore. It’s all there. Just like at good old GROEZROCK and Riorock.
Wait… But what really happened to GROEZROCK?
In just a couple of years, GROEZROCK grew from a small festival into something bigger than we had ever expected. To be honest, it got a little too big. It simply wasn’t fun anymore and felt more like a second day job. And who needs another one of those?
What will this ‘Back to Reality’-thing lead to?
Who knows! Your guess is as good as ours. Maybe it will turn into a new festival. Maybe not. We’ll see what the future holds. But for now, we are ready to start things up again and just have a good time.
