Itinera is a duo creating music inspired by Hungarian folk songs, world music, electronica and Nordic dark folk soundscapes. Layered mantras and music loops help creating a ritual, trance-like state of mind so band and audience can travel together into another world. Their music comes from the idea that facing and accepting our own dark side can make us better people and thus lead to a better world.
Created by Anett Horváth and Ádám Nagy in 2022 after a decade of playing music, in 2023 Itinera started playing live shows and released their debut EP ‘Aurora’ in September, presenting it also to foreign audiences in Czechia and France. In 2024 they released two singles, 'Békélj meg' and 'Csillag fénye, Holdnak fénye', accompanied by videos.
In April 2024 they played at the Tallinn Music Week showcase festival and, being among the winners of the Pet?fi Nagylemez Program competition, they got grants to create their first full-length album. They played in Austria and Slovakia, and in Budapest with Siberian nordic folk band Nytt Land. They continued to play shows abroad in 2025, with a highlight being playing before The HU in Slovenia's Kino Šiška and at the Floating Castle (SI) festival. In October 2025 they released their first full-length album 'Kör'.
